There is a saying which states “if you have one, you have none and if you have two, you have one”. We agree with that. ServerMatter servers are checking to see what you’ve changed every 20 minutes and insuring those changes are saved to a backup drive. We also have something called ZFS running in the background which has the power to restore your entire server to it’s former self via ZFS snapshots. If a worst case scenario ransomware virus hits your server, we can log in remotely and restore it to its former perfect self. It will be as though nothing ever happened.
If you wish, you can sign up for our offsite backups. We have to charge for that because we pay for the storage of your data and monitor the offsite backups. That said, if a catastrophic event were to hit ie; fire, theft, flood or anything that makes your renders your server unusable, the offsite backup could be your only lifeline.
